simple beauty that can make one smile

I love old photographs there is so much history behind them .You can't help but smile when you look at them . Here are a few I found today in public domain I thought I would share :) I played with them a bit and made a few minor adjustments and added a copy in sepia for each one .I love the girl holding the dove so peaceful. If you click on the picture it will come up in another window then just right click and save .I just ask that these not be added to any cd's or collages for sale . Have a good day

a little gift

I was making some tags for my packages thought I would share some with you Just right click and save :) they are fun for gift tags ,bookmarks ect. I add a little glue and glitter and some pretty ribbon ect ,to make them sparkle .

Hello, I had to show you the beautiful hand stitched ornaments and card I received in the mail from Deb http://theangelandthepukeko.blogspot.com/ they traveled all the way from New Zealand. I was in the secret Santa honeypot swap this year and had so much fun doing it .

Deb got my name in the swap and made me these beautiful ornaments the pictures do not do them justice there is so much detail , such talent and beautiful stitching .I have to tell you when I opened them I not only had a huge smile on my face but tears in my eyes it touched my heart to think someone that never met me from all the way across the world would make me something so very special . And the handmade card is so pretty love all those colors of fabric on the tree and that cute little star at the top . Thank-you Deb I will treasure them for many years to come and think of you each time I take them out to put them on my tree .

Snow Gal and Annie Ornie

Hello, Here's a couple pictures of a little snow gal and Annie ornie I just finished up they will be going on eBay later today . It is so cold and windy here right now , big difference from yesterday which was 60 degrees and sounds like we will be getting some snow this morning .

Last night I went to my daughters school Christmas program she was not in it only K-3 get to do it .She had to be there to announce the principle before it started , she is student council president .She was so nervous but did a wonderful job .Watching all those little children sing just can't help but put you in a Christmas mood they were all so cute so much fun watching them all dance around and sing lots of smiles and giggles in that crowd last night .

Well I better get busy I have a pile of muslin on my desk waiting to be cut and transformed into something :) Have a wonderful Wednesday.

Annie Ornie

Hello , I hope everyone had a wonderful week-end I know I ate my share of food LOL love that pumpkin pie it's one of my favorites yummy. We went to hubby's sisters Thanksgiving day and I cooked Thanksgiving dinner here Friday . That was a long day I was up at 4 am to go shopping with my two boys then spent 4 hours making the meal. When my head hit the pillow that night I was out but worth every bit of it .

Today is back to sewing I finished up this little Annie angel ornie and just listed her on ebay . I have another item I hope to have up later today . I just have to dress her and take the pictures. I went to the post office this morning and sent out my package for the secret Santa honey pot swap so it should be arriving next week sometime it has a very long way to travel :) Well I am off to try and get some more sewing done have a blessed day.
