I will busy working on some little craft projects with some black and white images this week-end. Hello my dear sweet friends , yes you may snag the image :) I know I said a while back I would be busy posting again but.. life has it's twists and turns as we all know .Mine just doesn't seem to ever want to calm down thus the saying on the image above which I am learning all to well to do... take things one day at a time and just live threw it the best you can .Our life here has taken a rather large turn yet again this past month. My husband came down with the flu right before labor day his first day of a weeks vacation from work the flu turned into strep which he was having treated with penicillin which we now know he cannot have . That landed him in the hospital with a week in the hospital which started the 8th of September and another ten day stretch which we just got back home on Wednesday night with home health care coming in and me learning how to do his IV meds yesterday. It is a long story short version of it is he has a bacteria that has traveled first from his strep throat to his knee causing it to be septic which took two surgeries tons of test the first visit to the hospital he was sent home to recover on lots of antibiotics .Only to have things get much worse in the days after that so back to hospital for 10 days and tons of tests he now has the bacteria in the bones of his spine .This is all very difficult to explain at this point he has many things going on with him that have the team of doctors working with him a bit baffled at this point and if the antibiotics do not work which we have to wait at least 6-8 weeks to find out we will then have to travel elsewhere to hopefully get some awnsers to all of this . So just a very short version of what has been going on around here. I will be listing things soon on ebay and etsy now that it is up to me to try to keep things going around here .Just a tad stressed right now but all will be fine I have faith in that after all what else can one do :) I will post when possible but will be spending most of my time working and tending to hubby and the kids .Have a wonderful week-end Big Hugs

Thought I pop in and say hello :) I have been busy making flowers for a gals wedding in September I am doing some work for . I was playing around with this one today just to see what they would look like .I seen them all over the internet and just had to give it a try. I am having a bit to much fun with them and still have lots to learn yet .I have wanted to learn to do something like this for a long time and now I know how happy happy. I will post pictures of my coffee filter roses one of these days .Ok I am off to play with some flowers I have a long way to go on them and many other things to finish up for a bride to be :) Have a good evening everyone.

Hello , Yes I have not posted for a bit shame on me ..but life has been busy I am doing some work for a gal for her wedding this fall . I thought I would show you a few pictures of some of the things I have been working on . I am so getting my crafty lil mojo back again ...a very good thing :) so here are the pics....

I need to sew those lil flowers on ,I have been obsessed with flowers for some reason lately paper , fabric flowers whatever new stuff I can find to learn lol.

Notice the sewing machine :D my step mom gave it to me a couple months ago it was her mom's I just love it so beautiful .I will have to take a picture of the sewing case as well one of these days very pretty .

Lots of paper flowers I have been playing with . I needed a special bow for a package and while searching came across these and love to make them so much fun to play with .

My stepmom and Dad gave me a couple books she liked and got me reading again .

Lil miss Haley's b-day is Sunday and she is having a little party with some of her close friends . Wants mom to make some large paper roses we found on Martha Stewart's wonderful website today :) I was looking for a pattern for small paper flowers to use in a bridal brooch bouquet I am working on for one of my daughters friends and found one .Now just to find lots of crystal pretties to add to it and hope it turns out how it is supposed to might have to use silk flowers but the choices here not so good yuck! I will post pictures of the things I am making for the wedding as the weeks get closer to it ,right now I am working on about 200 handmade invitations which I cannot show until the bride sends them out :)

We made it through Graduation!!

My son and his girlfriend. Now time to get everything ready for college this fall.I'm not sure I am ready for my son to be that far away from home yet ..but I know I have to let him spread his wings and fly :)

Prom a few weeks ago :) I have been so busy the past few weeks I have not had any time to post . Maybe just maybe I will find some time for my lil sewing room this week ...maybe create a lil something .....that is if I can remember how to use that sewing machine still ...it has been way to long lol not sure I remember how to use Ebay anymore either hee hee but I think it's about time I try again ;)

Hello,Thought I better do an update so you didn't think I disappeared again :) I have been very busy the past couple weeks getting ready for my son's graduation coming up here May 8Th .Last night we went to the NCPA Senior Recognition Reception .A program my son has been a part of the past four years.That is him in the picture above getting his backpack for UNL very proud of him .This year I decided to rent a place for his party a cute little coffee shop called Barista's here in town. We will be doing his party the week-end before graduation it is hard to book anything so we were lucky to get that. But than I did wait much longer than I should have to call I am such an airhead these days :)After doing two graduation parties here at home in the past with limited parking and space we decided to go another route this year . Hubby said he would glady do that rather than put up with me and my attitude trying to do it here again lol .But then I do everything myself house ,yard ,cooking, invitation etc... so yep I will admit I get a bit cranky ; ) So I have been very busy working on pictures and such preparing for it .This week-end will be getting the invitations all done and sent out next week and then working on special picks and wrappers for the cupcakes and other decorations next week and after that the food .I am very proud of him and happy to do it for him but will be so happy when it is over .

The weather was really nice here for a bit so I got some yard work done . It felt so good to get outside and play in my flower beds. But now storms and possibly snow again this week-end yuck don't mind the rain we need that but no more snow mother nature pretty please .The trees are budding and full of flowers first time we have seen that in a couple years ,the past two years they froze before they got the chance to bloom . I just love seeing all the green showing up all the flowers growing and being able to open the windows here and there love love love that fresh air in the house.

well I am off to get busy again on this party stuff I just thought I would drop in say hello .Have a great week !!!!

Hello, I finally got my software installed I have been without for sometime now ... Happy Happy :) I had a trial version I was using which it is no longer available to upgrade .So I decided to purchase the software the other day ..got it installed and I am back to playing again. My youngest son Brendon's birthday is today can't believe he is 18 already ,time has gone by fast .These are a few of many pictures we have been busy working on for his graduation from High school next spring ,taken last week-end . I can't believe the weather has been so nice here ,for Nebraska that is so not normal this time of year. If only it would stay this nice all winter lol .But I know the very cold weather is on it's way just so it holds off until we get the Christmas lights put up outside next week-end . I dug all that out yesterday getting prepared for decorating the day after Thanksgiving, the lights go up a little sooner . I was peaking in some of the box's yesterday and got a look at some of the wonderful ornies I have received over the past few years from some special gals in swaps i did .Can't help but smile when I look at them . Deb yours was right there on the top a reminder of that day last year the mailman handed me that unexpected card with such a beautiful ornie in it to match the ones sent the year before . I still hold that moment in my heart it brought a big smile to my face when all else around was not so good ....bless your heart for that my dear sweet friend. It will bring a smile and special memory for years to come .

I haven't gotten on the computer to much lately .Just been busy getting back into the routine of things around here again and it feels great. I am normally at my sewing machine knee deep in fabric and trims and such .One of these days I think I will get lost in this little crafty room of mine under it all Hee Hee . And love venturing out to the craft and antique stores again I do have to have new toys to play with after all as we all do at times to inspire us just a bit now and then lol :) Hubby took me to the Christmas open house they hold at the antique shops here downtown last week-end .He isn't into it like I am so he went lovingly but not thrilled until he noticed each one had hot cider and goodies to munch on.Then he was very happy to have gone silly guy .Give that man food and he is one happy camper .I just watched him with a big smile thinking back to a year ago and so happy to see him standing there healthy smiling as he sipped on his cider and munched on his plate of goodies. A cherished moment to say the least and a wonderful time spent with hubby just hanging out relaxing a bit .

Well my dear friends I am off to do some baking for a birthday boy .He put in a request for a pumpkin roll and a special supper which I do for all the kiddo's and hubby on there b-day .They make the menu and I cook it :) Have a good day I will chat at you soon .

Hello everyone, It was so beautiful out last night ,so Haley ,Kami my little great niece and I went for a walk checking out all the wonderful colors of fall starting to showing up . Thought I would share a few of the pictures we took on our walk around the block .lil miss Kami's legs are tiny so we didn't travel to far with her :)

Kami and Haley would giggle as she walked in those leaves .....nothing like the sound of a child's giggle to make one smile .

Auntie Nae had to take the leaf away after lil one decided to see how it tasted ...silly girl :)

I was sick all of last week felt horrible so didn't get to much done and it messed up my schedule just a bit .But all is good again and back to playing with that fabric ,paint and such so should have some things done up soon .I know some have emailed to check with me and the plan was to get some things up by last week as I had said I would .But just did not happen since the flu hit me hard.... hopefully in a few days I am working at it I promise ;)

Good Monday morning my friends, The sun is out shining and it's going to be a very warm day so I am busy staining some old linens before the cold hits again .It was about 48 degrees yesterday Brrr!!! I spent the day baking and making chicken and dumplings at my son's request for his b-day dinner he turned 21 yesterday . Got a phone call in the afternoon telling me they had car trouble and he wouldn't make it :(..but all is good he will be home later today to eat leftovers and we will just plan another dinner with his sister on her b-day this next week-end :)

It has taken me a bit to post them shame on me for that Robin I do apologise hon :)They are so beautiful the pictures just do not show all the detail and heart that went into making them Robin you are one talented lady bless your heart that package meant more to me then you know big hugs my friend .

As you may have noticed I have not been on much I hope to change that .I am working very hard at it and as each day comes I get stronger and more back to myself. After the past few years of being pounded with so many things I guess this little mind of mine crashed just a bit.... and took more time to heal then expected. Normally when I get knocked to my knees I can get back up brush it off and keep going finding the strength to do so from somewhere deep inside . But after losing grams and all that went on the past few years I simply got low on strength I guess and depression hit me like a storm this time that just didn't want to pass . The journey we went on with grams in her last days was not an easy one but I am glad I could be there for her as she was for me for so many years in so many ways teaching me what love and kindness is all about .When you hold someones hand that you love beyond words tell them it is ok to go and watch them take there last breath ..well it stays with you I miss her so ....But i also know she wouldn't want me to be like this .Soooo now it is time to take in lots of deep breaths and focus on what I do still have here and make each day as beautiful as I can holding on to the memories and smiling when I see her in them :)

I just wanted to explain a bit what has been going on with me in my lil ol world and why I have not been on much .Around to visit your blogs and such not responding like I should to posts and such . I am getting back to my self and you will be seeing more of me and my lil creations starting to appear soon I promise . Our new lil kittens Gracie and Faith... Haley finally talked mom and Dad into it.we lost our sweet pepper on mothers day ...broke our hearts he was part of the family for almost 3 years . I didn't think I could handle doing it again but lil miss Haley kept asking with that look in her eye so here we go again :) At first we were just going to get Gracie but the girls went with to get her and got attached to Faith ... so both came home with us .We are glad we did it that way, they play together all day long very content ...just like a couple of little kids ..Faith is nibbling at my toes right now :)

Hello, I was playing with the camera big surprise there huh lol ....That is little miss Haley's hands above.While hubby and my oldest son were fishing Haley and I decided to go play a bit took lots of cute pictures of her :)

Here is a sleepy lil duck that decided to take a nap on a log just a few feet from us. I was having fun taking pictures of those silly ducks .I will post a few more pictures of them once I get a chance to work on them .I had one that seemed to be showing off for us :)

And there is lil miss Haley ...she is so excited for this week-end her birthday is Saturday . I think I will be taking her and 6 of her friends to the park to take there pictures .Weather depending anyway then home to watch movies and eat pizza ,cake and ice cream .I am still trying to figure all that out .I promised her she could get her ears pierced at the age of 13 so looks like I will be taking her to do that Friday since my house will be full of girls on Saturday . I also promised a small amount of make-up could be worn now and she has not let me forget that either lol :)

Need to get my bum off here and run to the store to get a few things .It sounds like we could be getting some bad storms later on today. Very hot and humid out there right now . I will try to get some images done up for you soon . Have a good day !!!

Hello everyone, I have not been on the computer to much the past week .Been busy cleaning out our garage and going through closets and such getting ready to have a garage sale in a couple weeks or so .I hope that is ....so much stuff to go through and price .My dollie is half finished setting on my desk saying ok already get me finished :) I got side tracked a bit after seeing a very sweet gals rag quilts she had made so darn cute .I decided it was my motivation and started making a couple for my lil nieces .The first one will be going to the little cutie hubby is holding in the picture above .But I have to tell you me and the darn birds around here ,I finished the quilt ,washed it ,put it out on the cloths line to dry ...then was going to fluff it in the dryer .Well when I went to get it from the cloths line I looked at some weird dark spots on it ,as I got closer sure enough a bird had dropped poo on it and not the normal either oh no it was purple berry poo ughhh!!! I was so mad .

So I came in and started scrubbing it with no luck .I then decided I had nothing to lose at that point and decided to bleach it .Well that did the trick so I was doing a happy dance ,after all those little quilts can be a bit pricey to make .We no longer have a wal-mart that carries fabric here so yep have to go get the pricey stuff .Anyhoo I am thinking at this point the birds around here have it out for me lol :)

The pictures above are of hubby and our great little niece .My niece has been letting us watch her now and then and we are so happy about that .She is such a little dollie ,we forgot what it was like to have little ones around. Hello my friends , it has been a bit since I have posted .I came down with a bug the week-end of my grandparents estate sale and have had it since. I am just now four weeks later starting to feel a little better,this darn stuff likes to hang on I guess. Hubby took me to the ER a couple weeks ago he was a bit panicked after my fourth attack of not being able to breath that morning ...but then I will admit I was rather freaked out myself. I am having a hard time sleeping now due to several days of waking up not able to breath or swallow for a few seconds and scaring the poo out of me ,which went on for over a week. I am not one to go to the doctor unless I get pretty bad .I know not a good thing just how I am very stubborn , I make hubby so mad sometimes :) But anyhoo guess it was a combo of severe seasonal allergies ,bronchitis ,ear infection and a bug of some kind and being over stressed just a lil bit :)So doc put me on meds sent an inhaler home with me that I never used. Not sure why I should have a few times and still have it close by all the time . I have been going to see my chiropractor and he is getting things under control .My allergies are terrible this year the worst I have had them . I guess several months of major stress will get you to that point hmmmm :)
So that is why I have not been around to much the past couple weeks so very tired and just blah.

Last week-end lil miss haley came running in the house telling me about the poor lil baby blue jay in the backyard that had fallen out of it's nest ( picture of it below).So outside I went and sure enough the sweet lil thing was in my flower bed ,momma flying around chirping like crazy .I know from past experience just to leave it alone not to touch it ,but I had to take some pictures after all he was so darn cute :) which I will tell you not a good idea with a momma bird around .She flew up behind me touching the back of my hair which caused me to turn around fast but before I could get away she came back and smacked me in the back of the head OUCH!!!! not sure if it was bird feet, bird beak or what but it hurt let me tell ya ..soooo note for myself next time leave the baby bird alone. He may be cute and fun to take pictures of but just back away from the birdie lol ,just had to share that with you :)

I am working on a doll I hope to have finished up by the end of the week-end .If I get my bum motivated that is ,I seem to be having a hard time doing that . But I am determined to get back into the swing of things :) Well I am tired and we have storms moving in so I better go try to get some sleep .Have a good week-end chat at you soon.

Hello everyone ,I have been busy trying to figure out this pattern thing . This is my first pattern I have done to share and I am not sure what I am doing yet lol .So I am giving it out as a freebie. You can all test it out for me : ) I am not sure how good my instructions are ,I find it hard to explain how I do things and wonder if it makes since to others at times . I have the link in the side bar so just click on the picture there and it should take you to the file to download or print it .I hope so anyway ,if you have any problems getting to it just leave a comment and let me know and I will respond as soon as I can . I did a set of these lil guys a couple years ago and sold them on eBay .As I was going through some things over the week-end I came across the pattern and figured hey I am going to give this a try .And many hours and frustrations later here we go : ) But hey only one way to learn something and that is to try right ....And I have promised to do so for a couple years now ....so it was due time I sat my bum down and started to figure it out . If this does ok there will be others to follow .This lil guy has a couple partners that went with him so they might make an appearance soon . Good morning everyone, I worked on these images yesterday for some room sprays I was making. Thought I would share them with you .Just click on each one to bring it up larger in a new window, right click and save :) I was thinking that first one would be cute on a handmade mothers day card or whatever .

Just a couple pictures of the roomsprays I was working on. An idea for a gift you can make that special someone .I added a wing with a bit of glitter to the images and stamped a pretty design on the outside edge of the image .used mod podge to attach everything .

Tomorrow we are headed to my grandparents estate auction. I have to say it is going to be a hard day I think .A day that will end a chapter in my life ,and that last page will be hard to close as I walk away tomorrow when it is over . At one time in life this was family that was so close to us when my mom was alive anyway , so many memories with all of them and so much time spent with them growing up . Then it all disappeared pretty much after her funeral . After so many harsh words were spoken to my father about my mom's care and such. There were family members that refused to believe she had cancer was dieing and made things so much worse then they had to be. I fully understand what Dad had to put up with back then after hubby got sick last fall and i dealt with it from some of his family. Mom's doctor took them into a room tried to explain it all but they would not listen to reason and were very harsh to my father . And now years later after Grams passed away a couple years ago . My brothers and I being the ones to receive Mom's portion of the will.... well lets just say I have an aunt and uncle that the only word i could use to explain them both would be greed and heartless way to much to expalin . Do I love them both yes very much so, only want the best for them in life ,but the pain they cause to so many family members is beyond what I could explain.When I myself do not understand them myself. So I am not looking forward to tomorrow ...But need to be there for myself see if I can get a few of Grams and Gramps things to put away for my kiddo's .And a few treasures I remember from a wonderful childhood full of memories with all of them .

As for my Auntie Bev...Thank-you for remembering us kids knowing we are family and treating us as family . Mom is smiling down on you and so proud of you I know she is ,as is Grams :)You are such a kind hearted wonderful lady always know that and never let anyone tell you otherwise Bless your heart .

Sunday is my nieces graduation so we will be going to that then probably home to do some yard work . I pretty much try to ignore Mothers day it is a day my heart aches .But yet a day that I am so proud to be the mom of four beautiful kids ,I am so blessed to have in my life they are my heart .

I would like to tell all the Mom's out there Happy Mothers day !!!! a bit early I will not be on the computer much over the week-end busy busy busy the next few days . I hope you all have a wonderful week-end !!!!!

Hello , just a couple pictures from the garden, What a busy week-end. Saturday lil miss Haley and I went to a May day thing at my parents house. Then I came home to do some yard work for the rest of the day. Today hubby and I ran all our errands and I started outside again. Right now I have little bits of fiberglass in my arms ouch .... cleaned off the fiberglass covers over the front wondows and started painting them .They were in much need of some TLC. Started pulling the carpet off the front steps that fell apart over the winter .Trying to get all the glue they used to put it down off ,not a fun job , then to decide how I want to redue it . I had to stop for the day a lil while ago due to rain but will be back out there tomorrow . Still need to get my garden in as well , along with a list of other things .

We did find some solar globe lights at menards to place out front in the flower beds .I just love them you can have them change colors or just remain white . After watching them last night Hubby and I just had to go back to the store this morning and get a few for the back yard as well so very pretty .Can't wait to get all this work done and set out in the swing in the pagoda relax and enjoy them .

Sorry I have not been around , I seem to say that allot, still working on some normal around here . In time I will be back posting like crazy and visiting.Just know I have not forgotten all my wonderful blogging friends bless your hearts.

I have been busy playing outside in the flowers , doing some landscaping and the such ,trying to get my garden ready .Loving all that fresh air but I sure feel it afterwards is that what they call getting old when every muscle aches Hee Hee :)

I finally got my new camera last week after returning the other one which I hated .But it is here and I am a kid with a new toy and happy happy happy .I so love this one ,that will teach me to try to buy anything but Canon again :) I will be playing and posting pic's soon .

Hubby just got home from the dentist so I better go give him some TLC poor baby his mouth is all puffy . And I need to go get lil miss Haley from school so I will chat at you later .Have a good week-end !!!!

Good morning everyone,It is so beautiful here this morning ,I was out watering some of the flowers I have uncovered .Need to get the rest of them cleaned up this week they are growing so fast .It has been so nice seeing the green starting to show and letting some fresh air in the

house.love it!!!!!

I did this candle jar up for my table over the week-end. I love anything with birds, eggs and nests so just had to make one .I used the graphic above for it ,you are welcome to use it . Just find a clear jar, place some moss in the bottom of it .I painted some paper mache eggs up and placed 3 in there. Printed the graphic off to fit the back of the jar used some mod podge to attache it facing the inside of the jar .Then covered the back of the image with some coffee stained rice paper ,any paper or fabric that shows on both sides would work that you like .Then I glued the same bird graphic over the coffee stained and other image so it could be seen on the outside of the jar as well.Then coated the outside image with some more modge podge .Then just place a glass votive or whatever you like that will fit in the top of the jar.I used an old blue glass cylinder I had . Then put flicker candle in very simple. These would make really cute gifts for friends and loved ones .Mothers day is coming soon :)Just one idea for some of my lil ol graphics .

And here is another idea ,I used some little boxes from valentines day the little sampler Russel stover ones . I got plenty of them on clearance very cheap for the kiddo's and just had to come up with an idea for them . The kids ate the chocolate and mom played with the box's :)I just took one apart traced a pattern onto paper and covered them with mod podge and pretty paper .I have been playing with pressed flowers lately so I added one of those to the box as well .I can't wait for my own flowers to grow so I can get busy and press some of those .But anyway another idea ,they are perfect for jewelry.

Last night Hubby and I went to the high school .My youngest son made honor society at school and they had a little ceremony for them .Rather proud of him ,he only has one more year of high school left then he is off to college to be a chiropractor .About the same time my oldest daughter will have to go to a different college to get her bachelors and my oldest son will most likely be headed over seas .So I am going to cherish this next year with them all still here under this roof :) time goes so fast but I couldn't be more blessed .

Ok I am off to get some sewing done ,yes you heard me right back at the sewing machine and almost have a couple things finished up to get on eBay .Just need to put a few finishing touches on them and work on some pictures .Feels good to finally have something finished up again and ready to get back into it all :)I think that sunshine and nice fresh air has motivated me again . Hello everyone, I have been away from the computer for the better part of the week. Monday morning we woke up to police officers in the driveway as hubby went out to warm his pick-up , up for work. There they were taking pictures of his pick-up and filling out a report. Some little punks had smashed in 3 of his windows with a baseball bat .They also got the neighbors work pick-up. And what sounds like over 60 other peoples cars Sunday night sometime. Sooo yep that was not cheap to fix and no insurance to cover that only liability. It pushed me over the edge so to speak and I spent a couple days in bed on muscle relaxers due to very severe pain in my neck which had started a couple days before but got much worsethat morning . X rays showed nothing so doctor thinks most of it was due to way to much stress and a possible small injury of some kind ..really have no clue other then I slept for almost 2 days straight and thinking I needed it :) Doing ok now just have to be careful not to move my neck fast or around to much and not lift anything heavy for awhile oh and the big one doctor says no stress .Ummm ok...Ha ha I don't see that one happening ..after all I am human, a wife and mother LOL.

So hubby got up on Wed morning to drive to work after we got his windows fixed and he had a flat tire poor guy .This after his tooth broke off the night before which we think is from the prednisone he is taking those wonderful side effects ughhh .He is in pain waiting to get into the dentist. Flat tire was probably from the glass ughhh!!! Bless my oldest son's heart he was getting his dad back and forth to work and taking me to see the doctor and checking on me. As Natte Kay my daughter helped out there as well.. They learned what it was like to have mom unable to do much but sleep for a few days not a good thing. But anyway just one of those weeks could have been worse i know that :) just frustrating is all and worried the little punks will come back again this week-end .After all they hit our street twice last summer this made a third time .And I live in a nice area makes me so darn mad.But what you going to do but suck it up and deal with it I guess.

Well I only had a couple hours of sleep last night due to the neighbors lovely dogs barking and worried about the punks coming back ...so I am off to try and catch a little sleep if possible.Just wanted to stop in and let you know why I was not around this past week .If my neck remains to keep getting better I will be back to my sewing this week I Hope I am trying anyway :)

Hello, I hope you are all having a good week-end. Mine has been good despite the cold and snow we are having and supposed to get very cold the next couple of days . Hubby did ok at work last week came home by 3:00 on Thursday he can't go over 40 hours .So he spent the day with me on Friday . After being with him everyday for the past 3 months it was strange having him back to work but a good thing. He likes being back and everyone was happy to see him which made him feel good. We went to Sam's club to check out a camera my daughter had seen there .And I am happy to say I left there with one of those cameras .I just love it a Nikon cool pix L100 .My oldest son bless his sweet heart gave me $200 at Christmas to get whatever I wanted .But I was holding on to it just to be safe in case it was needed for other things :) But we got our taxes done and no need to worry anymore about that issue for now anyway .So now I have a new toy to play with and I got such a good buy on it could not believe it when my daughter seen it it was down to $189 when I went it was marked down again to $149 like it was just waiting there for me to come get it LOL :) So I will soon be posting some pictures with that new toy of mine ....

Yesterday I spent the day cleaning the house and I do mean cleaning it was so in need of it .My son had drills and one of his buddies had to drive in from Lincoln .With the slick roads we had him just stay here.On his way here yesterday morning he said he passed 4 accidents on the interstate not good driving conditions when you have to be somewhere and be there on time . So I got up bright and early and made sure they had there tummies full before they took off this morning .

I spent a good part of this past week working on my computer it is having issues .I could not get onto my blog but removed my music and now I can .Not sure what is up with that other then having issues with shock wave and the flash player .No matter how many times I fix it still issues. I did after working with 3 programs first 2 found nothing ughhh. third one my dad suggested found 9 nasty Trojans and spy ware .So I got rid of those ,helped some but not enough .Think it may be low memory causing some of it ... time to go checkout new computers I guess .To be very honest some days I want to toss it across the room but I would be lost without it :)

Well I am off to get some things done ,lots of laundry to catch up on . I had to fix the drain yesterday fun fun NOT...some of that black nasty crude came out of the pipe and in my face soo gross!!!! but I got it fixed without having to call a plumber a very good thing :) I promised little miss Haley a trip to her favorite store Rue21 today so I best get cleaned up do that and get busy on that laundry . Hubby started back to work today worried about him ,I know he was nervous . We still have no answers but are working with a new doctor that feels the problem is with his pancreas . Also thinks what I did at the time this all began that the medications he was on had lots to do with things as well . He has gained 20 of the 24 pounds he lost that first week . He got the brace for his leg on Friday it better help for $2400 yikes!!! The guy that fitted and made it for him said he has never seen a guy his age have to get one before . If we do not get anywhere with the doctor we are with now we will then go to the Mayo clinic we had to make some hard choices . If hubby did not start back to work today he would lose his insurance and job so need I say more there ... Doctors feel it would be good for him mentally to get back to a routine again as long as it is light duty mostly paper work . He does have to go back and have another scan done of the nodule and blood work done in March I think to double check for cancer . The nodule did not show cancer but is not normal looking either . They checked for several things with that including a rare fungal infection all came back normal which is good . So right now only time will tell and I am setting here praying he is doing ok at work today .

We did get some answers on my oldest daughter a couple weeks ago ,she gained so much weight in the past year , was having horrible headaches and the only way I know how to describe her attitude the past couple years is bipolar . Well it is her Thyroid so working with a doctor to get meds adjusted right now,finally an answer . And some very good news about lil miss Haley Doctor feels she is possibly in remission from the arthritis and in July if it continues she will be taken off meds to see what happens for sure . One of those days I actually left the doctors office with happy tears :)

As for myself I am doing ok .....The best I can right now after the roller coaster ride the past several months , It has challenged me beyond words....But I will take the good stuff and come out of it strong again in time :) .I will be slowly starting back to my lil business in the days to come . What can I say my heart hurts right now I miss grams so very much .But maybe putting all that energy into my work is just what I need right now .So expect to be seeing some angels soon . I already have one pictured in this head of mine now just to create her .I also have some other things planned possibly another give away coming soon I do love doing those so be on the watch for that :)

Well I better get busy I decided to clean Haley's closet today imagine my surprise when I opened the door ...all I can say there is my daughter is a little pack rat Hee Hee .I was scared I would get lost in there still am lol :) Have a good day I will chat at you soon .

Grams left us at 3:26 am this morning , I was with her . She is now at peace back with gramps again where she has wanted to be since his passing . I was blessed with 40 years with her and all the love you can possibly imagine .She will be missed beyond words but always held close to my heart . The tears that fall down my face are not so much of sadness but full of all those memories of time spent with her .I will be away for a few days .

Hello everyone, I just wanted to let you all know I will be away a bit longer ,Sorry I have not updated for a lil while . My grams had a large left sided stroke on the 10th which also showed several small ones had occured explaining what has been going on since July .She has blood bursts going on as well ,blood clots that travel to the brain and burst coming most likely from her heart . The stroke left her with damage to her right arm ,hand and throat which she is unable to swallow now and a very hard choice had to be made of a feeding tube put in or to let nature just do it's thing and we did not feel the feeding tube was a good idea it would just prolong her pain and the doctor agreed as have many others . A very hard thing to watch and have to do .We are on the 13th day and I know it will be soon the signs are there hospice is coming in to the retirement home once a day as well as the pastor and I am there most of the time to be with her and dealing with lots of idiots on there staff making things so much harder yet ...The things they do is beyond my understanding as well as hospice they themself cannot understand the stupidity other then it all being about $. I Have so much more going on but need to get ready to go as soon as hubby gets back from taking the kiddo's to school he is taking me over to grams doesn't want me driving bless his heart . Just wanted to let you all know why I have been away and will be for a lil while longer . Have a good week-end .(((HUGS))) Renae

Hello everyone, sorry I have not been around much with hubby, and all the holiday stuff My blog took a back seat the past few weeks. Any spare time I seem to have is spent trying to find some kind of peace with all that is going on in our lives right now if that is possible .I am trying very hard to find it at times it seems right now . But it is always there found in the simple little things I just have to remember sometimes .. remind myself that is ...and not get lost in all the bad stuff.

Hubby is still seeing doctors trying to figure all of this out .If we don't get some answers in the next couple weeks we will be going to the mayo clinic . He is now on his third round of steroids each time he goes off things get bad again . They are going to take a closer look at his internal organs and more blood work will be sent off in about a week to double check for leukemia again .

The past few weeks we had some very special friends from hubbies work and truly amazing family that have gone beyond themselves to make our holiday special without them well let just say they are our special angels and we are so blessed to have all of them in our lives .My dad being the biggest one of all for he is there everyday checking in on us with that big heart of his .... I will in time find a way to repay all of them for there generosity .I have been totally blown away by it all how it has touched our hearts . And so many of you saying prayers bless your hearts means so much more then I can explain .

I went to the mail box last week to find a special card that traveled all the way across the globe from a very special lady my dear sweet friend Deb .I cannot express how much that sweet Christmas card and such a beautiful ornie meant to me Deb . I was having the worst week and you lifted my spirits in such a special way thank-you from the bottom of my heart you are such a sweet lady that I am so proud to call my friend .The simple fact that you thought about me , us sweetie and did that is beyond what I can explain . It is hanging with my other beautiful ornies you made me last year bless your heart sending you great big hugs across the globe .

We had a blizzard hit here just in time for Christmas so hubby ,I and the kiddo's stayed in had a nice dinner and watched movies . It was nice peaceful and having all my kiddo's here under this roof was my Christmas wish and I got it :) So nice to have my kiddo home again not sure I can say that anymore LOL he sure did some growing up while gone but hey he will always be my kiddo :) My heart goes out to those who were not with there loved ones over the holidays . I didn't get to spend it with my side of family this year the first ever I think .But things change and we have to change with them I guess .I am just blessed that hubby and the kiddo's were all here safe and sound under this roof and the rest of my family was held close to my heart as always will be the case .

Hello, Been busy playing with sparkly glitter and paint today .As you can see in the picture above my little ice skate and star ornies . Have a little more work to do and should have them listed in a couple days. Very cold here today Brrr!!! so not a good picture hope to get better ones done later .

Took hubby for his biopsy on the lung on Tuesday . Was a very long day and should have results by tomorrow . He has a partial collapse of his lung right now from the biopsy it is getting a little better had it X-rayed yesterday and go back tomorrow to have it looked at again. They do not want to have to put a tube in to fix it if they do not have to .That would mean another hole placed in the lung and can sometimes collapse worse when the tube is pulled out .So just watching him close right now and hoping it will fix on it's own in the next few days .

He had taken the last of his steroid treatment on Saturday which he was on for a month and as of Monday things started going backwards again. Knee all swollen to point he cannot straighten it all the way and in lots of pain . And feeling yucky again so went to see one of his doctors yesterday for the knee and he put him back on the steroids which should start to help in a day or so they think . What it basically means is they put him on the steroids to strengthen his system and keep whatever is going on at bay .It started to work blood counts were back to pretty much normal last week and things looked good at that point so we hoped it would remain that way . Which would mean whatever was going on would have been gone . But does not look like that is the case the past couple days have shown that already and fast . So yep more doctors waiting and answers and lots and lots of praying and faith ... just trying to do my best to keep him comfy .

Haley and I started to put the tree up last night ,just need to get the lights on and decorate it now which she is very excited about . She got her little one put up in her room a few days ago :)

well I have lots to do so better get busy ,just thought I would give a little update on our crazy little world right now . off to do some cleaning , make supper then play with more paint fabric and glitter :)

Hello everyone , My son got home late Thursday night !!!!!!! took three planes and most of the day but he made it safe and sound :) So blessed to have all my kiddo's here again .... I spent all day yesterday cooking a special Thanksgiving supper.The grandparents and one of his friends were invited over .

We made a special trip to go see grams yesterday.That is my son and grams in the picture above . I wanted her to see for herself he was back :) I went to see her on Thanksgiving day and found things not so good and when we went yesterday I hoped maybe it was just a bad day but nope ... the swelling in her face ,hands and feet is worse again only time will tell but I know.

Hubby did not have to have the bone marrow biopsy last week blood counts came back ok this time so they want to wait . He is having a biopsy done on the nodule on his lung on Tuesday .The Steroid treatment ends tomorrow and the next week will tell us more if he gets worse again..... time will tell and the results of the biopsy on Tuesday will awnser some questions as well on pins and needles waiting for more awnsers.

I started to put the Christmas decorations up outside today and going to work on the tree inside tomorrow I think .Lil miss Haley is wanting to put it up so mom needs to get busy and do that :)

Sorry I have not been around much been trying to wrap my head around my crazy lil world right now .Doing ok just off in my own world right now . Missy got me addicted to farmville on facebook lol yes Missy I am blaming you LOL just kidding :)I have been getting lost in that so have not been playing much with images but will get back to it soon I promise . Picture me playing on the computer in my spare time stuffing lil snowman heads :) that is what I have been doing the past few days . All these lil round heads on my desk awaiting noses to be sewn on and painted up .

Talked to my Kiddo tonight yes I am smiling right now . He passed his classes last one was today woohoo!!!! Now just to go see the doctor have things looked at again and get all the other stuff done so he can come home soon !!! My Christmas wish... my kiddo home for Christmas and his mom can't wait to see him. give him a big hug and see those shiny wings adorning his uniform so very very proud .

Hubby is still working at it took him to wal-mart for a little grocery shopping today to get him out and moving around . It wore him out but is good for him with all those darn meds in his system. Tuesday we go for the bone marrow biopsy and CT scan of his lungs again to see if the nodule has changed any and go from there .

Went to see my Grams today .I had not gone for a week " Me bad" I sort of had a bit of a meltdown and needed a bit of time to recover this past week . It takes a bit out of a person when your world goes in all sorts of directions .Every now and then you just have to take a step back when you get overwhelmed and say hey I need to find a lil peace and look at what is good to find your way back to a better tomorrow .

I walked into Grams room to see a lady I did not recognise thinking to myself where is Ruthie Gram's roommate . Just setting there afraid to ask knowing the awnser not wanting to hear the words spoken out load .But after a bit I found the courage to ask Grams and sure enough she passed away over the week-end .So strange how in a couple short months that sweet lady grew on me she will be missed . I made my way across the room to introduce myself to another sweet lady grams new roomie .We chatted for a bit ,when you look in there eyes you can see the sadness they try to put on a brave face for you but it is there . A big reminder of what you yourself still have . And you realise maybe things are not so bad they could be so much worse .Every time I leave Grams to walk to my car it is hard knowing the sadness that goes on in that building . How lonely they must all be and how lucky I am to wake up to a house full of love every morning . Very hard to explain ,those that are there now with loved ones , have been there understand that feeling very well .

Those that have loved ones in a nursing home please go see them as much as you can .It means so much to them more then anyone will ever know until in there place .I myself will be back at it this week my lil break from it is over and all I have to do is think about looking in those loving eyes to remember why i go and need to go as much as possible :)

Ok my dear sweet friends now that I have rambled on for a bit ,yep that is me chit chat away lol . Speaking from my heart these days I guess . By the way if wondering I deleted my last post it was bothering me ,way to hard to explain and put into words. My kiddo turns 17 today , we will be going shopping .He is so fussy so rather then mom try to figure out what he likes which always ends up getting returned and replaced anyway .It is just easier that way lol:) Then I will be making him his supper whatever he wants .Right now I know that includes mashed potatoes with white gravy and meatballs .He is still thinking about the rest of it .So I am off to get dressed for our shopping adventure then home to cook and bake .Have a wonderful day!!!!!!

Hello everyone, still working on getting hubby all better and trying to find some answers yet. Monday I am going to check into a couple more doctors for some second opinions. Not happy with all that is going on at the moment so that is the next step.He is doing just a little bit better, up moving around some and eating just a bit more. I do not agree with some of what his main doctor has diagnosed and wants to do at this point . I don't think some of the other doctors agree with it either just from several comments made . So that tells me it is time to bring another doctor in rather then just go with what one of them says and hope for the best . So far they have not found any cancer which is very good news .A small nodule was found on his lung last week and a couple cysts on his kidneys which they don't seem concerned about the ones on the kidney was told that is normal hmmmm???? The one on the lung will be looked at again in a couple weeks by the cancer specialist just to see if it could be anything of concern or not. A bone marrow biopsy most likely will be done then and more blood work to recheck things . So basically we are not sure at this point if the flu and strep throat just recked havoc on his system ,if he really does have sweets syndrome as we were told or if underlying issues . I myself think it is more so the flu and strep with lots of meds on top of it causing yet more issues .But just don't know at this point so yep more waiting ,doctors and tests and in the mean time just saying prayers it will continue to get better each day and that will just awnser our questions if nothing else .

But doing ok , have had some frustration with some of hubbies family but oh well nothing new there gotta love family and there opinions sometimes . if they only understood the added stress it brings rather then helping . I hate when people avoid you have not much to do with you for the most part then feel they can tell you what to do when something like this happens . The same people that didn't have even 5 minutes to come to the hospital the 7 days he was there .And a mother that can't even call her son I just can't wrap my head around it , but hey they sure can comment to others on how I am doing things Ughhhh!!!!oh well anyhooo ....

I am going to try to finish up a little creation I am working on right now .Hope to get it on eBay by next week .also have a couple lil dolls I just need to get dressed and they will be listed soon as I get those finished up .So for those that have been wondering :) I am working hard to get some things listed for the upcoming holidays. Just love how working with that paint and fabric takes me into my own lil world when needed at times lol :)

Hello everyone ,Thank-you for the kind posts and prayers means so much , I spoke with my son last night and updated him on all that is going on here after lots of thinking and trying to decide what was the right thing to do ,the best for him in his situation right now . I did not post everything before because he did not know all of it and I did not want him to read anything on here that I had not told him yet . What has been going on for the past week and a half is very hard to explain because I am still trying to understand allot of it myself and there are still things to be answered . more tests more doctors and simply just time will explain all of this we hope .

The sweets syndrome that hubby got however it came about they think it was caused by the strep is rare and will take time to work out of his system only lots of rest fluids and steroids right now can help with that .It first caused kidney failure which is getting back to normal and we hope it stays that way . as of the doctor visit yesterday to check all his blood work again we found out he now has pancreatitis more then likely from the sweets syndrome as well .So an ultrasound was done for that this morning and should hear something by tomorrow as to how severe that is .For now he is on a clear liquid diet for a couple days which is interesting with all the meds and already not feeling well .I have to watch him very close with the possibility of rushing him back to the ER.

Tomorrow is back to the doctor again for more blood work as they are watching him close and then to a cancer specialist in the afternoon. There is a slight possibility of that being one of the things they are looking at being an underlying factor here in all of this going on. I am waiting for a call from the mayo clinic in Rochester Minnesota right now to set up an appointment for hubby to be seen there in probably 2-3 weeks . Like I said way to much for me to try to explain right now as to what is going on without more answers . Hubbies doctor said what we need right now is a doctor house so to speak to get to the bottom of this and we will find that at the mayo clinic .

I always hear people say God only gives us as much as we can handle .In all that is going on around me, has been going on ,He must think I am pretty strong . All I know is I am being tested to the limits right now, feel as though I have been knocked to my knees at times .But we will come out of all of this ok no matter what lies ahead for us I have to have faith in that .

Hello everyone, Thank-you so much for all your kind words .They mean so much more then I can express right now. To put it bluntly I am exhausted ,frustrated and hanging on to every ounce of faith I have right now .It is hard for me to put into words what is going on in this head of mine right now .

We did get some answers as of yesterday and hubby is home as of this evening I have to watch him very close . What I can tell you at this point is he got the flu it turned to strep which caused sweets syndrome, which caused the kidney failure and such . the kidney failure caused the suto gout to flair . There are still some remaining questions and things being done which I will share in a month or so when the steroid pack has run its coarse and the doctors can get a little better look at some things . The doctors will be watching hubby very close for a while more tests were done that will be coming in and more to be done in the months to come . He is on 7 different meds right now which I need to make charts for to make sure they all get taken right . Work is a bit of an issue and not sure what will happen there he has to be able to do something very light duty for a while at least for a month or so till the steroids do there magic and we do further testing . So I will be starting to look for work outside the home as of this week. I in all honesty at this point do not know how many of my lil creations will make there way to ebay for some time but every spare moment I have I will be trying .

My son who probably checks in on moms blog if I know him well enough . Is still waiting on answers himself due to trianing and having to be in class to graduate .So things have been delayed with the doctors and still waiting to get some remaining answers there as well . We cannot wait to see him hopefully in 4-6 weeks .Right now we are not sure of the date due to the issues with his leg .But I can tell you I miss him so very much and the day he gets off that plane and is back home can't come soon enough for me .

Hello everyone ,sorry I have not posted for a few days .Took hubby to the ER on Monday throwing up blood and still there awaiting results of what is going on . Has seen 9 doctors so far and had so many test done I can't remember all of them at this point .

Results so far show elevated white cells ,kidney failure and elevated sugar counts. He got sick almost two weeks ago with flu like symptoms . Started to feel better went back to work then middle of last week throat became sore .By Friday I looked at it and looked horrible

sent him over to clinic for culture it came back positive for strep . Put him on antibiotics. Saturday woke up with strange sores on side of neck .We thought maybe a reaction to meds seeing how they did over week-end .Monday he woke up to go to work very sick again ,called in to work went back to bed .Woke up around 10am got a drink of water and started throwing up blood so off to the ER we went . Spent over 5 hours in ER then was admitted to a room and has been there since . Tested twice for H1N1 came back negative . The scope they did last night thinking they would find a bleeding ulcer came back fine nothing there interested to see what doctors say this morning with that . SO just more ????? .Anyway just a very quick lil update on why I have not been on and may not for a few days .Need to get cleaned up and back to the hospital so I can talk to the doctors when they come in this morning .Waiting on results right now to see if it could be sweets syndrome did a biopsy of his neck to check for that .Just something they are looking at this has doctors a bit baffled so looking at any lil thing they can come up with and checking things out no matter how small they seem as one of the doctors put it hurry up and wait . Hello, just finished this little 4-1/2 foot pumpkin guy up for my front porch :) He will be there greeting all those little trick or treaters next week-end. I very rarely make myself anything that I keep so figured it was due time I did .And of coarse I won't loose this guy Ha Ha .

When I get the special little treats finished up I am handing out to some of the neighbor kids I will take pictures and post those.

Hopefully this next week I can get back to some sewing for Ebay. That is the plan anyway it's been so long I may have forgotten how lol :) It has been chilly and raining here ,snowed a couple days ago again .but didn't last long the rain came back and washed it all away which was ok with me .

Hubby is very sick right now has been for the past week but turned into strep throat and now has his knee all swollen up again so back to the crutches today . We will have to wait and see what tomorrow brings might be another trip to the doctor poor guy is miserable . talked to my parents they are down with it as well and I am not feeling so well myself but trying to ignore it right now.

Well I am off to get some housework done and cookies and such baked to get off in a special package to my kiddo . I found such a yummy new recipe the other day when I get a chance I will post it.It's my favorite now:) enjoy the rest of your day I will chat at you again soon .

Hello , We had beautiful weather this past week-end and were finally able to take lil miss Haley to the pumpkin patch where she had lots of fun . I think hubby had just as much in the corn maze trying to scare me as she did lol .There are a few pictures of our fun little trip below .

I got a call from my kiddo last night and the specialist he went to see yesterday does not think there is any cancer , he was not thrilled with the treatment my kiddo had been given so far and believed the previous doctor had no clue what he was doing to come to the conclusion he had given .With all the delays in his treatment and such the past few weeks it doesn't look like my kiddo will be graduating with the rest of his class and home by Thanksgiving now which has him very bummed time will tell in the next couple of weeks :( hopefully he will make it home for Christmas .We will just have to wait and see how things go at his next doctor visit after a second look at the next x rays taken to see if things have gotten any better or if more tests need to be done from there .It all just depends on how long it takes for his leg to heal so he can finish some of his PT tests for him to be able to graduate .Being very patient at this point is all one can do. It was very good news to hear that this doctor does not feel it is a bone tumor at this point thinks it is just a bad fracture that will take some time to heal .So just a little update on how that is all going.

Hello , a couple images. It's still cloudy and cold here but the snow has all melted :) Yesterday after I went to see grams I drove around the corner and there was this snowman all by himself in a yard .No snow anywhere else to be seen just leaves all over,made me laugh . I think it is supposed to warm up over the week-end so we might just get to that pumpkin patch with lil miss Haley yet.

Still waiting on word about my kiddo ,there was a mix up with his appointment Monday so had to be rescheduled and I have heard nothing since then so yep more waiting.....

Good morning, we woke up to snow this morning and it is still snowing Brrr!!!! way to early for it I think we will be having a very long winter this year , sure doesn't feel like fall .Hubby and I were going to take lil miss Haley to the pumpkin patch today but looks like those plans have changed .Maybe movies and hot cocoa curled up with a warm blanket now .Hopefully this will clear up later today and we can take her tomorrow she was really excited about going . I started back to a little sewing this week so I hope to have some items finished up soon . It has been way to long since I have focused on my work and time that I try very hard to do so again :)

I thought I would give you a little update on things around here the past few weeks . I have not been on much seems to be the on going thing for me lately ,it is going to take me a bit to catch up on all my favorite blogs . Just lots going on in my life right now and I will be around when possible with things getting colder outside most likely more often :) While In basics my son started having pain in his leg he was told there it was a sprain and would be ok so he stayed on it doing his thing to get through it all and graduate .But it proceeded to get worse as time went by and he did not want to have to start basics all over again so he endured the pain for the last 3 weeks and kept going , lets just say I have one strong willed tough kid . When he got to AIT He had it looked at again just to make sure all was ok it started to feel a little better but was badly bruised .They determined it was a stress fracture and did a CT scan a couple weeks ago to see the extent of the damage . From there they noticed more and did an MRI last Thursday to get a better look at things .Well .....my kiddo called me early yesterday morning to tell me the results were back and I could hear in his voice it was not good . It looks like he has a possible bone cyst or bone tumor .... He will be going to a specialist to find out for sure and what will need to be done . At this point that is all we know I do not know what will happen in the next few days ,week , months to come until we get more answers. Not being able to be there with him right now is very hard ,waiting is hard and the unanswered questions are extremely hard right now . But all we can do is stay positive and hope for the best and say lots and lots of prayers. I will post as I know more.

As for my dear sweet grams things get a little worse each week .I really don't have the words right now to explain it all , they are there just way to hard to type without tears flooding my face so I will leave it at that . I know there are many of you that have been there in the same situation and totally understand that . We all have our things we go through everyday each and every one of us from time to time .Sometimes it takes more faith and strength then we ever knew we had to get through but we do .

We did have some very good news on Monday . I took little miss Haley to her 3 month check-up for her Juvenile arthritis . And things are looking much better , before she had to where a lift in her shoe due to one leg not growing as fast and them being uneven ,but guess what it has grown and is now the same length as the other one so very cool...even the doctor was so happy , I was setting in the chair just taking things in as he went about checking her over and all of the sudden I hear this WOW!!!! you have to see this .well that is when I got up went over and he showed me her ankles to let me see they were even again . for a little girl who just a little over two years ago was so bad that when she walked the kids would tease her and she was in so much pain from it ,this was a huge huge thing for us . Her pain is still there which she feels all over but so much better and now she can walk around a grocery store with me without being in severe pain and tears by the time we are done . So from what he seen this visit he said the possibility of her outgrowing this is very very good . I left the doctors office with such a big smile on my face and him telling lil miss Haley to keep doing whatever it was that she was to get this far in such a short amount of time .Even the doctor had a big smile on his face and Haley well lets just say one happy little girl who has a long way to go yet ,but a gleam of hope now :)

Well I better get back to work or I won't get the little project I am working on finished which needs to be in the mail soon . I promise Mari your package will be on its way in the next couple of days :)

Hello everyone, I went with Haley this week-end to some antique shops and sales needed to get out take a day and relax a bit . They had the Junk Jaunt going on here in Nebraska which covers over 300 miles . I did not make it out of town way to many places to check out here ,limited time and a tire that I had to have fixed yesterday .We had lots of fun and found some special treasures .While at one of my favorite antique shops I found some old German books from 1901- 1910 .The images above are from them , I got them to use in my altered art such beautiful pages . Good Monday morning everyone!!! thought I would post a few pictures of our son at the graduation and some pictures we took while there relaxing a bit . this was taken right after graduation .

My son is on the left with a soldier from his platoon on the right. took this picture when we took him back that night after we got a short family pass . It was hard to say good-bye again but we will see him again soon just in time for the holidays possibly .Might be after Thanksgiving now due to some delays in classes starting can't wait miss him so much .At least now I can talk to him on the phone and computer every now and then when he has some personal time , one happy mom about that :)

The pictures here were taken while we waited on Wed for the Thursday morning ceremony to be able to see our son . We had to stay very busy that day and setting in the motel just didn't do that lol :) so did lots of shopping in the stores around elizabethtown until I just could not walk anymore because my feet hurt so bad or I would have kept going :) .The pictures here were taken at Saunders springs a very beautiful nature preserve .I just loved it there ,wish we had something like it around here. good place to get some exercise and find some peace .

Well I am off to try and start sewing today .I hope to have something up by the end of this week .

Hello everyone , got back home from KY around 4am Saturday morning .Was a very long drive we drove straight through there and back home with all the construction going on it took a little over 14 hours both ways, needless to say still very tired .Not ready for a drive like that again for some time. Next trip will be on a plane :) but was well worth every mile to be able to see my son for a few hours before he took off for Alabama. Got to spend a little time with him at the airport the next day as well which was nice . The graduation and seeing all those soldiers was an honor to be there with them and it will remain with me always .Something that I really cannot put into words but felt in my heart .Seeing all of this with my own eyes I fully understand what they give up to give us our freedom . I am so thankful for all those amazing men and women that serve and protect us everyday and that have in the past. Bless there hearts they are all hero's in my eyes .

Tomorrow will be getting back into a routine starting on some fall things . I can now keep in touch with my son again somewhat , so I am much more relaxed now and just might get some sewing done again :) I cannot tell you how much you miss those phone calls and the sound of there voice until it is taken away for some time . And how good it feels when you have that back again . I am off to get some sleep will chat at you soon .Have a good week!!!!!

Hello everyone, I had to show you what I received in a special package from Robin at The Robins Nest . I should have had this posted sooner but just got around to doing it this morning. So I apologize for that Robin things have been a bit crazy around here the past few weeks ,well for a while now :) . It was a very sweet unexpected surprise when I opened the mailbox .It put a great big smile on my face :)

Robin won my last give away for the surprise christmas box and bless her heart she sent me the most adorable card and christmas tag ornies she made as a thank-you !!! I just love them ,it is hard to see the detail in the pictures .I have to tell you such beautiful work . Thank-you Robin I will treasure them .

Natasha and her new car

Hello everyone, this past couple of weeks has been crazy busy getting ready for school and planning our trip to KY to see Zach graduate . About 17 days left now before we get to see him :) we will get from 2-12 hours with him that day depending .Then he is off to Alabama for AIT.

Haley started middle school Wed she had a bad experience on Thursday. I had to have a chat with some naughty teachers that wouldn't let her out of the 6th grade doors where she was instructed to go out ,thinking she was an 8th grader .shame on them for not even asking her she came to the car in tears and shaking she got so scared . Needless to say I was not a happy mom and got things straight so she would not go through it the next day so all was good on Friday :)

Brendon started at the high school on Thursday and Tasha starts out at the college this coming Monday .Just 5 books were $900 so crazy luckily those scholarships paid for those .We found her a car last week which we picked up on Friday .She is so happy now and it means much less driving around for me now which a very good thing :) Thinking about going back to work part time and then see about full time from there .Going to start looking when we get home from KY want to see how it goes .I so need to get out of this house even if for a couple days a week I miss those paychecks I used to get :) And yes I will continue to do my sewing I actually think it will help there.I am in need of some motivation there :)

This is Hubby and three of my kiddo's.I was taking some pictures today at the park to send to Zach he is so homesick right now .He said he misses moms cooking as well, but doing ok you were right Pea :) They lost all phone privileges a couple weeks ago so just letters now .Phone calls were only 60 seconds but nice to hear his voice even at that :( There will be lots more contact when he goes to Alabama and gets his phone back ,so I can suck it up for that long :)

It has been so nice here the past few days in the 70's just love it . Monday I plan to get back to that sewing machine with all the kiddo's in school again I will have lots more time now .So I hope to have some things listed by next week lets hope I remember how to use that sewing machine LOL need to dust it off been a while now :)

Well I am off to get cleaned up hubby and I might go out for a bit tonight late birthday celebration :) enjoy the rest of your week-end .I will chat at you again soon .

Good morning everyone, Just a few random pictures from my backyard .I was playing with a bumble bee this time and it didn't like me to much LOL . We got a 60 second phone call from our son last night was so good to hear his voice :) After I got off the phone I got our room booked as he told me to do quickly for the graduation .Which was a good thing she said she had been on the phone all afternoon with reservations for that day .And I got a room just 3 minutes away which is a very good thing !!!! And I started getting things all mapped out for our almost 14 hour drive .Only 4 more weeks and we will be on our way to KY to see my kiddo for a few hours so excited I can't wait :)

Grams is out of the hospital after a week of being there and back at the retirement home . things are not great with her but better then they were the previous month . Just taking it one day at a time right now :)

was just playing with this picture thought it was kind-of neat in it's own way . Reminds me of when I was in grade school we would take and cover a page in crayon scribbles then go over the whole thing in a black crayon and scrap off a design showing the bright colors underneath . I used to love doing that would spend hours with those crayons :)

My little buddy I like to spoil . She is scared of me but loves all those peanuts I give her .Comes by everyday to munch on some .So much fun watching her, if I get to close she grabs about 3 peanuts and takes off running :)

I have no clue what this strange bug is never seen one before ,but it was enjoying the nectar from that flower . I poked at it to get a better look and picture of it but instead it flew at me very unhappy and I couldn't move away fast enough LOL.

Good morning,This picture came about while setting in the hospital room with grams watching her sleep last night . Strange what things we think of at times :) I am going to get a large print of it to put in a shadow box I picked up and find a special place for it .I thought I would show it to you . I will try to work on some images for all of you soon .This past week has been a bit busy all my spare time is spent at the hospital so not much time for the computer .But I need to relax a bit so soon :)

I hope you all had a good week-end .It was so warm here again and will be again today .Summer is back again, there for a while you would have thought it was fall for a bit.Which was nice to be able to open the window's and get some fresh air in love those days .

I got Haley all signed up for school last week .She is a bit nervous but excited to start middle school .And we sign Brendon up this week they start in just a couple of weeks Brendon starts on my b-day which is a big one this year ughhh!!!! (me rolling my eyes) Probably drop the kids off come back home crawl into bed and pull the covers over my head and just forget the day .(Just kidding :) Someone PLEASE tell me why turning 40 bothers a person so much .Is it all the looking back you do .The fact you are starting to see a few grey hairs and such. Feeling those aches and pains much more then you had .I mean after all you are the same person just a lil bit older hmmm.

The kiddo's going back to school means time for me to get back to sewing and in a routine again if that is possible LOL. But ready for that I think and I so need to get some things back on eBay and in my etsy it has been to long. Time for me to Focus Focus Focus .

Well I have a special package to get to the post office this morning .Then a trip to the hospital to see grams I try to go at least 3 times a day .So I better get my bum off this computer and get busy .

Hello everyone, First let me say I am so sorry it took me all day to post this. My grams went back into the hospital yesterday and she is top priority right now as I am sure you all understand :) I will update on all of that as soon as I can .Lots of tests being done right now but as suspected had been over medicated and severely dehydrated .But more going on as well just no idea what at this point . Yesterday was a long stressful day I also received a letter from my son letting me know he has not gotten any of the mail we have sent so far :( He gave us a new address so I hope the letter I rushed out yesterday gets to him soon so he knows we have been sending lots of letters which I explained in it but my heart felt like it dropped to my toes when hubby called me at the hospital to let me know what a day .....

Wow did I have lots of names to get down on paper and put in that jar .Which my son drew from this time . He and hubby helped me cut them out and fold all of them bless there hearts . I enjoyed reading all of your comments and will try to get by some new blogs as soon as things calm down around here. Hello, everyone I thought I better set a little time aside this morning and post. The past month here has been a bit of a challenge to say the least and things just keep getting a bit more crazy as time goes by. Zachary my oldest son is away at basic training right now and not being able to just pick up the phone and check on him I hate .I am one of those very protective mom's and it tugs at my heart non stop and the 2 letters and a 1 minute phone call from him in the past month helped but still just simply hard . knowing your son is being trained to serve his country is not the hard part that I am proud of beyond words .It is knowing that the training and what he will be doing may take him away from us someday never to be able to give him a hug again . We all know that something could happen to us anytime at any point of our lives that is why I do not go a single day without telling my kids I love them . The person that leaves for work and gets in an accident .That trip to the doctor with not good news it happens all the time to all of us .But I have to say now being a mom of a soldier I truly understand and have so much respect for those men and women that serve us everyday the fact that they put there lives on the line to protect us is now such a reality .God bless everyone of them and there families .I have always known this but when one of those men is your son it goes so much deeper and becomes so much more real .Not something you have in the back of your mind and think of every now and then but now becomes your everyday reality.

My Grams is getting worse each day now to the point this past week that a 1 minute conversation is a struggle. She cannot stand on her own at all anymore which has been the case for the past month .But getting worse and no hope of that changing now she is so weak from not eating much and the cocktail of meds they have her on . We found out a couple days ago she was put on Paxil when she got out of the hospital with out letting family know and we have no idea why hmmm??? The person that did that better never cross my path is all I will say she was taken off of it yesterday but it takes 30 days to get it out of her system and at this point as weak as she is well the idiots that did that took so much from us doing that .It has effected the alshiemers so much along with the hydrocodone she was put on .Not a good mixture for someone with alshiemers makes things 10 times worse then it has to be . She went from being able to talk to me for at least a half hour normal conversation the week before she fell and fractured her ankle to now struggling to just speak for 30 seconds and not making any since most of the time. Mostly due to the meds she was put on I have no doubt of that at all it has put her pretty much into a zombie like state . It is so sad how the elderly are treated given so many meds that they may not need just so someone can make an extra dollar here and there and make there job easier . It has been so hard seeing her like this .

Hubby woke up at 2am this morning in severe pain the other knee now . I am pretty sure we are looking at more surgery again on this one .He went to work but should not have as far as I am concerned but he had to .I just hope he is doing ok , I know he is in pain he is on his feet for 10-12 hours a day . Just walking around her this morning getting dressed was a struggle.When he gets home I will have to give him lots of TLC . And there are other things going on as well but what is a person going to do but just keep putting one foot in front of the other and keep moving on to the next day .After all with lots of Faith we can get through anything right :) This is just me giving you a little update so you know why I have not been around as much .Things will get better and could be so much worse I know that ,just dealing with lots of reality right now .What is it they say when it rains it pours something like that around here right now :)

So that is why I have not been posting much lately and probably will not as much as I had been for a little while anyway .And why I have not been by to visit to many of my friends on there blogs for some time now ,I try every now and then .And why I do not respond to comments very often right now just know I love reading every one of them and I do appreciate them I am just kind of off in my own little world most of the time right now :) I have not gotten any lil creations up on eBay for so long but I am going to try and focus on that in the next couple of weeks .After all sewing can be good therapy when you let it be ,I just need to get my mind back there :) I have been working on the things for the surprise box for the giveaway . Last night hubby and the kiddo's come in my lil studio to check on me often now:) bless there hearts .They seen what I was finishing up and it got lots of good comments from them so must not be to bad LOL.You all have to wait to see it Hee Hee :)

My nephew and New Niece got married this past week-end in Colorado. I stayed home to keep an eye on grams so was not able to attend. I wish the two of you so many years of Love happiness and blessings .

Hello, well lil miss Haley had fun fishing Friday she was the only one that caught a fish this picture of her and her tiny little bluegill lol. She was so excited when she caught it she kept yelling daddy daddy until she got to him to show her catch . She was so proud of that fish that she wrote her big brother a letter and drew him a picture so she could share with him as well :)

This is my youngest son a bit frustrated no fish for him that day , The last time they went he caught a Gare and it bit him ouch !!!

Well I am off to get busy things to do .Need to go check on grams ,finish up some housework and get a few more things from the store . Also need to get a package wrapped up that is going out in the mail tomorrow always lots to do .And might try to go to the lake for a bit of fishing again .Well hubby and the kiddo's anyway me I like to walk around it and take pictures . Happy Birthday little Miss Haley !!!!

Hello, Today will be spending lots of time with Haley .Hard to believe only one more year and my baby will be a teenager :) a couple days ago she was out in the back yard reading so I just had to take some pictures .Pepper or little fur ball wanted to be included which ended up in some very cute photos of the two of them . I thought I would post a few to show you ,my little girl sure has grown up over the past year . The pictures are so her almost always a book in hand and playing with the cat . Hello, I haven't been on the computer to much the past week , so not much posting on my blog lately . I did get a few more pictures done up from the backyard to share .I hope they bring a smile .

We moved Grams to a new home a few days ago .The first retirement place she went to from the hospital was nothing short of a nightmare ,I do not know how they remain open .Last week was a very hard week we had to clean out her room at assisted living and say good-bye to the gals there .They took such good care of Grams the past 5-1/2 years . She is being very well taken care of now at the new retirement home .It is only 8 blocks from me which means I can go see her every day even walk if I want to :) She has gotten just a tiny bit better in the past couple of days .Still lots of pain in her ankle which with a fracture will probably be the case for sometime hard to see her in pain .The meds for the pain make her so tired so I make the visits short it wears her out . I know not to expect to much she has given up her will to live and is so tired .She just wants to be with gramps and I fully understand it all . It is just hard hearing grams say she wants to just close her eyes and not wake up ,tugs at the heart. But I do understand she just wants peace . She has the most adorable roommate a 98 year young lady that to this day knits hats for charity such a sweet lady and so sharp love to chat with her .

So needless to say the past couple weeks have been a tad bit hard my kiddo away ,I missed his call while at the hospital which was hard ,but got a letter on Saturday .He is still waiting to go downrange so no address to write to him yet .Hubby and I talked and as of right now we will be driving to KY for graduation it is a 12 hour drive for us but I don't care .I will be standing at that graduation so proud .

The kiddo's and I started putting a 1000 piece Thomas Kinkade puzzle together over the week-end .If something will keep the mind busy that will :) who knew me and puzzles lol .I think we should have it done by tomorrow if not today . Hello, while setting at my computer this morning I looked out the window to see some butterflies flying around . For me it was seen as a chance to grab the camera and get lost in the backyard for a while .Then back in the house to play with them which takes me off into my own little world to forget the current issues of the day ,very much needed I must say :) So here is a bit of my digital art for the day. Some of them will be part of a special project I am working on for my grams . I think the very last one is my favorite not sure why. One would think the first one would be .After all it was fun out in the yard chasing that butterfly from flower to flower in hopes of catching a few good photos felt like a kid again :) I hope you are all having a good week . I wanted to play with these images for you but did not have time .I spent the last two days at the hospital with grams and ended up having to take her to the retirement home today which was very hard she hates it there a big difference from assisted living . Beyond exhausted right now so just posting the pictures .I just love them ,had to share them with ya .
